Christine Hinson

Independent Sandwell Business Ambassador

“It feels great to try and give something back to the community that has invested so much in me.”

Chris Hinson’s latest position was Director of IT and Communications at SIPS Education Limited, a not-for-profit company delivering support services to schools, enabling them to improve educational outcomes for children and young people. She has recently retired but is remaining with us as an independent Sandwell Business Ambassador – and we’re delighted! Chris is chairing Sandwell’s Towns Fund board for West Bromwich and therefore has been instrumental in securing £25m of regeneration funding for the town – plus an extra £750,000 of accelerated funding.

Sandwell is a fantastic place to be – it’s home! It feels great to try and give something back to the community that has invested so much in me.  I hope that as an independent Ambassador I can continue using my local knowledge to help benefit others.

“This is an exciting time for Sandwell, with lots of new building works and business developments taking place. With the Commonwealth Games coming to the area in 2022, there is a lot to look forward to”.
